PATHWAYS TO PARKS: THIS PROGRAM SERVES CHILDREN IN GRADES ONE THROUGH FIVE. CHILDREN EXPERIENCE VARIOUS OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES AVAILABLE TO THEM IN THE SUMMIT COUNTY METRO PARKS. THE ACTIVITIES HAVE A NATURALIST THEME. WE WORK WITH AKRON PUBLIC SCHOOLS TO SET UP FIELD TRIPS AND ENCOURAGE TEACHERS TO FOLLOW UP ON THE STUDENT'S PROGRAM EXPERIENCE BY PROVIDING THEM WITH A "TEACHER'S KIT" TO BRING INTO THEIR CLASSROOMS.
