HOSTED 25 DISTRICT, REGIONAL, AND STATE WRITING TOURNAMENTS FOR MORE THAN 200 SCHOOLS ACROSS OHIO. DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, THE 2021-2022 CREATIVE WRITING TOURNAMENTS WERE MOVED TO AN ONLINE FORMAT IN ORDER TO CONTINUE SUPPORTING, ENCOURAGING, AND CHALLENGING OHIO'S YOUNG AUTHORS TO ACHIEVE EXCELLENCE IN WRITING. WE RETURNED TO IN-PERSON TOURNAMENTS WITH THE STATE TOURNAMENT IN MAY 2022. THE HIGHEST-QUALITY WRITING FROM THE SEASON WAS PUBLISHED IN A BOOK THAT IS MADE AVAILABLE TO POWER OF THE PEN TEAMS AND TEACHERS TO SERVE AS MENTOR TEXTS FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL WRITERS.
