THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION IS TO ASSIST HANDICAPPED CITIZENS AND THEIR FAMILIES IN THE COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING FINANCIAL AID, MATERIALS, AND EQUIPMENT TO THOSE IN NEED AND BY INVESTING TIME AND CARE IN THE LIVES OF ITS MEMBERS.

WE ALSO PROVIDE FUNDING SUPPORT OF LYNN HOPE INDUSTRIES AND THE HOLMES COUNTY TRAINING CENTER WHEN THEIR NEEDS EXCEED THIER REGULAR FUNDING CAPABILITIES. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO SUPPORTS OTHER ORGANIZATIONS IN THE AREA WHEN POSSIBLE.STARTING WITH FISCAL YEAR 2015, GOVERNMENT FUNDING TO LYNN HOPE INDUSTRIES DROPPED BASED ON NEW GUIDELINES/REGULATIONS PERTAINING TO EMPLOYMENT OF AMISH STAFF MEMBERS. THE ORGANIZATION HAS WORKED WITH LOCAL AMISH CHURCHES TO RE-COOP THE NECESSARY OPERATING REVENUE THROUGH DONATIONS.
THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND PROGRAM SERVICES TO ITS MEMBERS. THERE ARE THREE MAIN TYPES OF SUPPORT FOR THOSE INVOLVED WITH THE ORGANIZATION. THE FIRST IS TO PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE FOR THOSE WHO NEED IT. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO OPERATES A KIDS PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES COMMUNICATION DEVICES AND INSURES THOSE DEVICES AS ITS SECOND TYPE OF ACTIVITY. THE THIRD TYPE OF SUPPORT IS THE ADULT ACTIVITY PROGRAM. THE ORGANIZATION BELIEVES THAT BY TAKING ITS MEMBERS OUT TO EAT AND TO DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES IN THE COMMUNITY SUCH AS BOWLING, IT CAN HELP TEACH THE MEMBERS ETIQUETTE AND BEHAVIORAL AND SOCIAL SKILLS, WHILE ALSO BEING ENJOYABLE FOR THE MEMBERS.
THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES RESPITE CARE FOR SOME OF OUR MEMBERS. THIS ENABLES FAMILIES WITH HANDICAPPED MEMBERS TO TRAVEL THE LONGER DISTANCES TO OTHER HOSPITALS OR CARE FACILITIES OR TRAVEL ON VACATION WITH AN AID OR OTHER CARE PROVIDER.
