THE MISSION OF OUR ORGANIZATION DBA WINDFALL INDUSTRIES IS TO CREATE/MAINTAIN A BUSINESS THAT PROVIDES HIGH QUALITY PRODUCTS TO CUSTOMERS WHILE PROVIDING TRAINING AND VOCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR DISABLED WORKERS.

MEDINA ASSEMBLY AND PACKAGING MEDINA ASSEMBLY AND PACKAGING MAP WAS DEVELOPED AS A STEPPING-STONE TO HELP STUDENTS AND ADULT INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES TRANSITION FROM THE TRADITIONAL COUNTY BOARD FACILITY OR SCHOOL TO COMPETITIVE EMPLOYMENT. AS A PAID TRAINING SITE, THESE INDIVIDUALS AS WELL AS WORKERS WITH DISADVANTAGES LEARN WORK ETHICS AND PROPER SOCIAL SKILLS REQUIRED IN A WORK ENVIRONMENT. SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE FOR UP TO EIGHT HOURS DAILY. REFER TO SCHEDULE O FOR FULL NARRATIVE.
TRANSPORTATION WORKERS WITH DISABILITIES WHO ARE ENROLLED IN VARIOUS VOCATIONAL PROGRAMS OFFERED BY WINDFALL INDUSTRIES, ALONG WITH CERTAIN OTHER WORKERS WITH DISABILITIES NOT ENROLLED IN THESE PROGRAMS, ARE TRANSPORTED TO AND FROM JOB SITES IN ONE OF THE ORGANIZATIONS SIXTEEN VANS. REVENUES FOR THIS SERVICE ARE PROVIDED PRIMARILY BY MEDICAID REIMBURSEMENTS. DURING 2021, 110 WORKERS WITH DISABILITIES WERE TRANSPORTED ON 27,943 TRIPS UNDER THIS PROGRAM.
REST AREA CONTRACTS WINDFALL INDUSTRIES IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING ROUTINE UPKEEP CONSISTING OF CUSTODIAL AND GROUNDS SERVICES OF TWO HIGHWAY REST AREAS. THESE REST AREAS ARE TYPICALLY MANNED 16 HOURS A DAY. THE WORK CREW FOR THIS PROGRAM INCLUDED 6 WORKERS WITH DISABILITIES DURING 2021. REVENUES FOR THESE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED BY THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION.
