TO PROVIDE A FOUNDATION FOR PEOPLE TO ACTUALIZE THEIR HOPE AND MOTIVATION TO ACCESS A GOOD LIFE. THE CENTER FOR SELF-SUFFICIENCY INC. CFSS IS A MILWAUKEE-BASED NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION. WE PROVIDE FAMILY-STRENGTHENING PROGRAMS TO YOUTH AND ADULTS TO ASSIST THEM IN DEVELOPING HEALTHY LIFE SKILLS ATTITUDES AND BEHAVIORS AND MAKING CHOICES THAT WILL HAVE LONG-TERM POSITIVE EFFECTS ON THEM THEIR FAMILIES AND SOCIETY.

THE PROJECT FAM PROGRAM TARGETS PARENTS INCARCERATED AT THE COMMUNITY REINTEGRATION CENTER CRC FORMERLY HOUSE OF CORRECTIONS HOC WHO ARE RETURNING TO MILWAUKEE COUNTY AND THEIR MINOR CHILDREN.
THE CFSS DEVELOPING OCCUPATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES RESOURCES AND SUPPORTS DOORS PROJECT IS DESIGNED TO PROVIDE CAREER READINESS AND JOB PLACEMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE CITY OF MILWAUKEE RESIDENTS. DOORS WILL HELP MEET EMPLOYER DEMANDS FOR A MORE SKILLED WORKFORCE BY PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR INDIVIDUALS TO RECEIVE TRAINING AND LEARN SKILLS IN INDUSTRY-RECOGNIZED TRAINING PROGRAMS.
ENCOURAGE SUPPORT AND ASSIST MEMBERS WITH EMPLOYMENT BASICS MEDICAL ESSENTIALS AND PSYCHOLOGICAL NEEDS. PRE-RELEASE INSTRUCTION IN FINANCIAL LITERACY WORKPLACE COMPETENCIES AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION IS PROVIDED TO HELP WITH SUCCESSFUL REINTEGRATION. ALSO INTENSIVE SERVICES ARE -PROVIDED DURING THE POST RELEASE PHASE.
