TO TEACH SMALL BOATING SAFETY AND TO DEVELOP YOUNG ATHLETES IN THE OLYMPIC SPORTS OF SPRINT KAYAKING AND CANOEING, AND ALL OTHER PADDLE SPORTS. WE STRIVE FOR ALL PADDLERS OF ALL AGES AND SKILL TO BE CONNECTED WITH A DESIRE TO PURSUE A LIFELONG PASSION OF BEING ON THE WATER WITH A PADDLE.

IN 2023 SDCKT CONTINUED TO TEACH BOATING AND SMALL CRAFT SAFETY TO SAN DIEGO AREA YOUTH THROUGH OUR INTRO TO PADDLING AND SUMMER CAMPS. WE WERE ONCE AGAIN RECIPIENTS OF A GRANT FROM THE CALIFORNIA DIVISION OF BOATING AND WATERWAYS WHICH ENABLED US TO EXPAND OUR BOATHOUSE SPACE AND PURCHASE AN ADDITIONAL SAFETY BOAT. OUR ATHLETES ATTENDED NATIONAL TEAM TRIALS AND NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS WITH MANY OF OUR TEAM MEMBERS RACING IN INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS AND PAN AMERICAN GAMES FOR THE USA NATIONAL TEAM. WE SUPPORTED ORGANISATIONS LIKE THE CHALLENGED ATHLETE FOUNDATION AND THE WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT BY HOSTING CLINICS AND PROVIDING SAFETY CRAFT.
