FINANCIAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS: THE AMERICAN CONSUMER COUNCIL (ACC), HAS DEVELOPED, AND ADDED SEVERAL NEW CUSTOMIZED FINANCIAL LITERACY VIDEOS, ON VARIOUS TOPICS, AS REQUESTED BY OUR MEMBERSHIP, AND CORPORATE PARTNERS. IN ADDITION TO OUR GROWING EDUCATIONAL VIDEO LIBRARY, AND WITH THE PANDEMIC RESTRICTIONS LIFTED, ACC HAS STARTED TO SURVEY ITS MEMBERSHIP REGARDING THE OPTION OF IN-PERSON SEMINARS. MONTHLY UPDATES, TO THE ACC WEBSITE, HAVE CONTINUED TO KEEP OUR MEMBERSHIP INFORMED ON CONSUMER ISSUES AND ALERTS.
CONSUMER ADVOCACY: ACC HAS UPDATED ITS MEMBERSHIP DATABASE TO TRACK CONSUMER ISSUES AND CONCERNS. THE UPDATE HAS ALLOWED ACC TO ACCELERATE ITS RESPONSE TO ISSUES WITH OUR CORPORATE PARTNERS AND MEMBERS. ADVOCATING FOR CONSUMER RIGHTS, AND EDUCATION, HAS CONTINUED TO BE THE BEST WAY TO SERVE THE ACC MEMBERSHIP.
MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT AND MEMBER PARTICIPATION: ACC MAINTAINS SIXTY-FIVE (65) STATE CONSUMER COUNCILS THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES. THROUGH THESE LOCATIONS, ACC IS ABLE TO MAINTAIN ITS MEMBERSHIP OUTREACH PROGRAMS AND ENGAGE WITH OUR CORPORATE PARTNERS. THE GREEN C CERTIFICATION PROGRAM CONTINUES TO BE ACCESSIBLE TO CORPORATE ENTITIES. IN AN ONGOING EFFORT TO KEEP OUR MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION SECURE, OUR IT DEPARTMENT MAINTAINS ITS SECURITY PROCEDURES WITH SOFTWARE UPDATES.
