DURING THE YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2022 GRANTS WERE MADE TO VARIOUS NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS TO BE USED IN THE SANTA YNEZ VALLEY AND LOS ALAMOS VALLEY OF SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA. IN ADDITION 37 STUDENTS OF THE SAME COMMUNITIES WERE AWARDED SCHOLARSHIPS.EACH YEAR THE FOUNDATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS APPROVES A BUDGET BASED ON 5% OF THE NET ASSET BALANCE AT THE END OF THE PREVIOUS YEAR.THE FOUNDATION SEEKS ADDITIONAL ENDOWMENT FUNDS FROM THE LOCAL PUBLIC AS THE COMMUNITY NEED GROWS SO THAT IT CAN FULFILL THE MISSION. THE MISSION OF THE SANTA YNEZ VALLEY FOUNDATION IS:THE VALLEY FOUNDATION WORKS TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF PEOPLE IN THE SANTA YNEZ VALLEY AND LOS ALAMOS BY INVESTING IN PROGRAMS THAT FEED THE POOR, PROMOTE HEALTH, NURTURE SENIORS, CHALLENGE OUR YOUTH AND INSPIRE THE COMMUNITY TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. WITH THE HELP OF CARING SUPPORTERS THE FOUNDATION ALSO BUILDS PERMANENT FUNDS TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE NOW AND IN THE FUTURE.
