ASSISTANCE LEAGUE OF TEMECULA VALLEY IS A VOLUNTEER PHILANTHROPIC ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO SERVING THE NEEDS OF FAMILIES IN SOUTHWEST RIVERSIDE COUNTY. VOLUNTEERS ARE COMMITTED TO COMMUNITY SERVICE AND SPECIAL PROGRAMS TO HELP LOCAL CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN NEED.

FIVE POINTS: THE CHAPTERS PHILANTHROPIC PROGRAMS ARE STRUCTURED UNDER AN OPERATION SCHOOL BELL REFERRED TO AS FIVE POINTS". FUNDS FROM THIS PROGRAM ARE AVAILABLE TO SUPPORT AND SUPPLEMENT THE CHAPTER OTHER PHILANTHROPIC PROGRAMS FOCUSING ON CLOTHING, FOOD, HEALTH, LITERACY AND SUPPLIES. OPERATION SCHOOL BELL, FIRST ADOPTED IN 1989, IS THE MAIN PHILANTHROPIC PROGRAM OF ASSISTANCE LEAGUE AND REQUIRES THE LARGEST PORTION OF THE ANNUAL BUDGET. THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES THE BASIC NEED OF CLOTHING FOR SCHOOLCHILDREN (GRADES TK-12) IN THE DEFINED SERVICE AREA, WHO MIGHT OTHERWISE NOT HAVE ADEQUATE CLOTHING TO ATTEND SCHOOL. NEW CLOTHING INCREASES CHILDRENS INCENTIVE FOR REGULAR SCHOOL ATTENDANCE, HIGH ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE AND ENHANCES SELF-ESTEEM.
OPERATION NONPROFIT PARTNERSHIP PROVIDES COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE TO OTHER 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATIONS BY SUPPORTING AND ASSISTING IN NEEDED SERVICES THAT ARE NOT DUPLICATED BY OTHER ORGANIZATIONS. THIS INCLUDES SCHOOL DISTRICTS, LOCAL FOOD PANTRIES AND FOSTER FAMILY AGENCIES, INCLUDING TRANSITIONAL HOUSING. THE CHAPTER PROVIDE IN-KIND DONATIONS OF CLOTHING AND SUPPLIES TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN NEED. THE USE OF THE CHAPTERS MEETING FACILITIES IS AVAILABLE TO APPROXIMATELY15 OTHER NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AT NO COST TO THEM.
OPERATION SCHOLARSHIPS PROVIDES YEARLY GRANTS TO SELECTED TEACHERS IN THE FIVE SCHOOL DISTRICTS IN THE ORGANIZATIONS SERVICE AREA. TEACHERS PRESENT APPLICATIONS FOR CLASS PROJECT THAT MEET STATE GUIDELINES FOR CLASSROOM ENHANCEMENT. GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS IN THE TEMECULA, MURRIETA AND LAKE ELSINORE UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICTS APPLY FOR SCHOLARSHIPS TO CONTINUE THEIR EDUCATION. ADDITIONALLY, THE CHAPTER AWARD SCHOLARSHIPS TO SOCIO-ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED STUDENTS WHO ARE CONTINUING THEIR EDUCATION.
