WE ARE A ROTARY SERVICE CLUB COMMITTED TO THE FOUR AVENUES OF SERVICE; COMMUNITY SERVICE, INTERNATIONAL SERVICE, VOCATIONAL SERVICE AND CLUB SERVICE. FUNDS ARE RAISED THROUGH MEMBERSHIP DUES AND FUND RAISING EVENTS. FUNDS RAISED FROM OUR EVENTS ARE GIVEN TO VARIOUS LOCAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS. COMMUNITY SERVICE INCLUDES SUPPORTING CHARITIES FOR CHILDREN AND THE NEEDY. WE ALSO SUPPORT LOCAL EVENTS SUCH AS HOLIDAY FOOD DISTRIBUTION TO THE POOR AND LOCAL SERVICE PROVIDERS LIKE THE COMMUNITY RESOUCRE CENTER, THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUB AND THE NAVY SEAL FOUNDATION.INTERNATIONAL SERVICE INCLUDES HUMANITARIAN EFFORTS TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF IMPOVERISHED PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD. OUR PROGRAMS HAVE PROVIDED MEDICINE, FOOD AND CLEAN WATER TO THE NEEDY. WE ARE COMMITTED TO THE ERADICATION OF POLIO THROUGHOUT THE WORLD. IN ADDITION, WE HAVE SUPPORTED EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR UNDER DEVELOPED COUNTRIES. OUR VOCATIONAL SERVICE INCLUDE SPONSORING DEBATE CONTESTS AND LEADERSHIP CONFERENCES FOR LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS RYLA. WE ALSO SUPPORT A HIGH SCHOOL SERVICE ORGANIZATION NAMED THE INTERACT CLUB OF LA COSTA CANYON HIGH SCHOOL AND A YOUNG ADULT SERVICE CLUB NAMED THE ENCINITAS ROTARACT CLUB. THE NUMBER OF PERSONS BENEFITTING FROM THESE EFFORTS IS DIFFICULT TO DETERMINE. HOWEVER, OUR LOCAL EFFORTS BENEFIT HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE. WORLDWIDE, ROTARY'S EFFORTS IN "POLIO-PLUS", CLEAN WATER EFFORTS AND OTHER PROGRAMS BENEFIT MILLIONS OF PEOPLE.
