Part 3
PALM BEACH PURRS IS A FOSTER-BASED KITTEN AND CAT RESCUE BASED IN JUPITER, FLORIDA. WITH OUR NETWORK OF FOSTER HOMES AND VOLUNTEERS, WE WERE ABLE TO SAVE WELL OVER 300 HOMELESS CATS THIS FISCAL YEAR - PRIMARILY KITTENS. HOMELESS KITTENS ARE OFTEN AMONG THE MOST VULNERABLE ANIMALS IN OUR COMMUNITIES AS THEY ARE ESPECIALLY SUSCEPTIBLE TO DISEASE AND PARASITES WHILE LIVING OUTSIDE; AND, IN THE SHELTER SYSTEM, VERY YOUNG, SICK, OR INJURED KITTENS REQUIRE SPECIALIZED CARE THAT IS BEYOND THE CAPACITY OF MANY MUNICIPAL SHELTERS. TO PROTECT THIS AT-RISK POPULATION, OUR RESCUE WORKED WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS IN OUR AREA THAT ARE WORKING TOWARDS THE SAME GOAL. IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ANIMAL CARE AND CONTROL, OUR COMPASSIONATE VETERINARY TEAM, AS WELL AS TNVR (TRAP, NEUTER, VACCINATE, RELEASE) VOLUNTEERS AND OTHER GOOD SAMARITANS, WE AFFECTED POSITIVE CHANGE BY ADDRESSING THE SUFFERING OF CATS AND KITTENS IN OUR AREA. AND OUR FOSTER PROGRAM TRANSFORMED THE MOST VULNERABLE FELINES INTO HEALTHY, ADOPTABLE KITTENS AND CATS SO THEY COULD FIND THE LOVING FOREVER FAMILIES THEY ALWAYS DESERVED.
