Part 3 - Line 4a

AFTER NOT BEING ABLE TO HOLD A ONE WEEK STEM SLEEPOVER CAMP IN 2020 WE DECIDED TO HOLD TWO VIRTUAL ONE WEEK CAMPS IN 2021 AND 2022. WE CONTRACTED WITH EVENT SERVICES, A TECHNOLOGY COMPANY THAT PROVIDES SERVICE TO ENTITIES THAT WANT TO HOLD VIRTUAL INTERACTIVE CONFERENCES AND MEETINGS TO HELP WITH THE TECHNOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF THE CAMP. WE HELD TWO 48 GIRL CAMPS AND OFFERED, WITH NECESSARY MODIFICATIONS, THE SAME PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES AS HAD BEEN HELD AT THE IN PERSON SLEEPOVER CAMPS. THERE WERE 4 MORNING CORE COURSES AND 4 DIFFERENT WORKSHOPS AT EACH CAMP. PRIOR TO CAMP EACH GIRLS CHOSE ONE 12 HOUR CORE COURSE AND ONE WORKSHOP PER AFTERNOON. INSTEAD OF A DINNER WITH STEM PROFESSIONAL WOMEN WE HAD LUNCH HOUR MODERATED PANEL DISCUSSIONS FROM FOUR DIFFERENT STEM FIELDS. THE GIRLS HAD OPPORTUNITIES TO ASK QUESTIONS OF THE WOMEN PANELISTS. WE WERE ABLE TO OFFER A WIDER RANGE OF FIELD TRIPS BECAUSE WE WERE NOT LIMITED TO SITES NEAR THE CAMP LOCATIONS. THESE PROVED TO BE VERY POPULAR SESSIONS. THE END OF CAMP VIRTUAL WRAP UP SESSIONS WERE EVERY SIMILAR TO THE PRESENTATIONS PREVIOUSLY MADE AT CAMP BUT MORE PARENTS AND FAMILY MEMBERS WERE ABLE TO ATTEND USING A SPECIAL LOGIN.

AS A RESULT OF THE AFTERMATH OF COVID THERE WAS NO SECOND PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENT.
