HOPE UNEXPECTED SEEKS TO ENCOURAGE, EMPOWER AND EQUIP SINGLE MOMS IN JESUS CHRIST THROUGH VARIOUS PROGRAMS WHICH INCLUDE: (1) MONDAY MEETS. MONDAY MEETS IS WHERE SINGLE MOMS AND THEIR CHILDREN ARE GIVEN DINNER, CHILDREN'S PROGRAMMING TAUGHT BY LICENSED TEACHERS, INTIMATE CLASS SETTINGS FOR MOMS THAT TEACH FAITH AND VARIOUS LIFE SKILLS SUCH AS BUDGETING, BOUNDARIES, HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS, PARENTING, DECISION MAKING AND SELF WORTH. IN ADDITION, DIAPERS, WIPES, AND $10 GAS CARDS ARE DISTRIBUTED AFTER EACH MEET-UP. WHEN WE ARE ABLE, WE ALSO PROVIDE PERSONAL HYGIENE PRODUCTS. WE HAVE DISTRIBUTED OVER 800 PACKS OF DIAPERS AND 750 PACKS OF WIPES. (2) CAR CARE PROGRAM. THIS PROGRAM OFFERS POINTS FOR ATTENDING MONDAY MEETS AND MOMS CAN TURN IN THEIR POINTS FOR CAR CARE REPAIRS AT APPROVED SHOPS. MOMS MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE, ACTIVE INSURANCE AND THE CAR REGISTERED IN THEIR NAME. (3) FREE LICENSED COUNSELING. MOMS AND THEIR CHILDREN HAVE ACCESS TO FREE COUNSELING THROUGH OUR PARTNER COUNSELING OFFICE. (4) MENTORS. MOMS ARE CHALLENGED TO SET AND WORK TOWARDS SELF SUFFICIENCY. MOMS ARE MATCHED WITH MENTORS WHO WALK ALONGSIDE THEM AS THEY MAKE DECISIONS AND WORK TOWARDS THEIR GOALS. WE HAVE TWO LOCATIONS: BYRON CENTER AND GRAND RAPIDS WEST. EACH LOCATION HAS A CAPACITY TO SERVE 25 WOMEN PLUS THEIR CHILDREN. IN THE PAST YEAR, HOPE UNEXPECTED HAS SERVED APPROXIMATELY 150 WOMEN AND CHILDREN.
