GSLT HAS PROVIDED A TWO-YEAR PROGRAM FOR JUNIORS AND SENIORS IN HIGH SCHOOL FOR TWENTY-SIX YEARS. IN 2021, SIXTY-FOUR GRADUATES ATTENDED SEVERAL COUNTYWIDE GSLT TRAINING EVENTS AND LED THE GSLT ANNUAL SUMMIT. THE SUMMIT WAS ATTENDED BY 1,200+ STUDENTS, PRINCIPALS AND ASSISTANT PRINCIPALS FROM TWENTY-FIVE GWINNETT HIGH SCHOOLS. SEVENTY-ONE JUNIOR CLASSMEN AND SEVENTY-TWO SOPHOMORES ATTENDED AND ASSISTED WITH THE SUMMIT. A TOTAL OF SEVENTEEN EVENTS AND TRAINING SESSIONS WERE HELD IN 2021. THE TRAINING EVENTS PROVIDED OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE STUDENTS TO LEARN LEADERSHIP SKILLS, ETIQUETTE FOR LEADERS TEAM BUILDING AND PERSONAL VERSATILITY AS WELL AS MANY OTHER CRITICAL LEADERSHIP SKILLS.
