YOUTH SOCCER. OVER 700 CHILDREN IN GRADES K-6 PARTICIPATED IN RECREATIONAL SOCCER. EXPENSES INCLUDED PROVIDING T-SHIRTS AND SOCCER BALLS TO EACH PARTICIPANT.


YOUTH SCHOLARSHIPS. 7 HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS APPLIED AND RECEIVED GRANTS TO BE APPLIED SPECIFICALLY TO THEIR EXPENSES RELATING TO THEIR ATTENDANCE AT THE COLLEGE OF THEIR CHOICE. EACH SCHOLARSHIP (IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,500 APIECE) WERE AWARDED AFTER BEING REVIEWED BY A SELECTION COMMITTEE OF MEMBERS OF THE ASSOCIATION. CRITERIA OF SELECTION INCLUDED SCHOLARSHIP, LEADERSHIP, AND COMMUNITY SERVICE. FAMILY MEMBERS OF THE SELECTION COMMITTEE WERE INELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR THE GRANTS.


A DONATION OF $4,800 WAS MADE TO THE LOCAL PUBLIC RECREATION DEPARTMENT THAT PROVIDED SUPPORT FOR A SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS.


A VARIETY OF DONATIONS WERE MADE TO COMMUNITY AND YOUTH PROJECTS TO SUPPORT PUBLIC FACILITIES IMPROVEMENTS, CHILD SAFETY ISSUES, FOOD INSECURITY, AND YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROJECTS TO NAME A FEW.
