THE MUSKINGUM VALLEY COUNCIL PROVIDED SUPPORT AND RESOURCES TO SCOUTING PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH IN 9 COUNTIES IN SOUTHEASTERN OHIO: MUSKINGUM, MORGAN, PERRY, GUERNSEY, NOBLE, COSHOCTON, KNOX, WASHINGTON AND ONE THIRD OF TUSCARAWAS, AS WELL AS PLEASANTS COUNTY AND WILLIAMSTOWN WV. THE COUNCIL CHARTERED 92 SCOUTING UNITS WITH OVER 2,000 YOUTH SERVED. ADDITIONALLY, THE COUNCIL COORDINATED THE EFFORTS OF 685 REGISTERED VOLUNTEERS WHOSE SERVICE ALLOWED SCOUTING TO BE AFFORDABLE FOR ALL YOUTH. MUSKINGUM VALLEY COUNCIL OWNS AND OPERATES A 510 ACRE OUTDOOR ADVENTURE/EDUCATION CAMP WHICH HOSTED OVER 8,000 NIGHTS OF CAMPING IN 2021. ALSO, IN 2021 THE COUNCIL GAVE DIRECT FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO 29 SCOUTS AND THEIR FAMILIES TO HELP THEM ATTEND SUMMER CAMP.
