EDUCATION, INSTRUCTION, CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT AND INSTRUCTIONAL STAFF DEVELOPMENT. CURRICULUM AND PROGRAMS OF MIDLAND ACADEMY CHARTER SCHOOL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITD TO, STRUCTURED PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES, SPECIAL PROGRAMS (SPECIAL EDUCATION, SECTION 504, ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE, GIFTED AND TALENTED STUDENTS AND ACCELERATED OR INTENSIVE INSTRUCTION / STUDENTS AT RISK) FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIFIC NEEDS.
HEALTH SERVICE AND FOOD SERVICES- ALONG WITH HEALTH AND WELLNESS EDUCATION, THE CHILD NUTRIONAL PROGRAM WILL ENSURE THAT ALL STUDENTS HAVE AFFORDABLE ACCESS TO THE VARIED AND NUTRIONTIAL FOODS THEY NEED TO STAY HEALTHY AND LEARN WELL.
SCHOOL LEADERSHIP ACTIVITIES ARE ENCOURAGED TO GET THE STUDENTS INVOLVED IN ACTIVITIES THAT WILL PROMOTE & BUILD THEIR LEADERSHIP SKILLS. GUIDANCE COUNSELING IS PROVIDED TO ALL STUDENTS. ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT IS CLOSELY MONITORED BY TEACHERS AND THE PRINCIPAL. STUDENTS ARE ADVISED IF IT IS DETERMINED THAT ADDITIONAL ASSISTANCE MIGHT BE REQUIRED TO FULLY ACCOMPLISH LEARNING PLAN GOALS.
