TO PROMOTE UNITY, HARMONY, AND DIVERSITY IN THE CENTRAL VIRGINIA REGION. THROUGH VARIOUS CULTURAL CELEBRATIONS AND ACTIVE PARTICIPATION IN VARIOUS COMMUNITY EVENTS AND INITIATIVES, THE SOCIETY RAISES AWARENESS AND RECOGNITION OF ASIAN HERITAGE AND PROMOTES CULTURAL DIVERSITY IN THE REGION.

ASIAN AMERICAN CELEBRATIONTHIS IS AN EVENT THAT IS HELD ON A YEARLY BASIS AT THE GREATER RICHMOND CONVENTION CENTER IN THE MONTH OF MAY. AS THE NAME SUGGESTS, IT IS HELD TO CELEBRATE OUR DIVERSE ASIAN AMERICAN HERITAGE IN THE GREATER RICHMOND METROPOLITAN AREA. THIS EVENT PROVIDES AN EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL OUR ASIAN MEMBER COMMUNITIES TO DISPLAY THEIR OWN CULTURAL ARTIFACTS, TRADITIONAL CLOTHES, HANDMADE REPLICAS AND THE LIKE TO BE PUT ON DISPLAY IN EACH COMMUNITIES CULTURAL BOOTH. EACH MEMBER COMMUNITY ALSO HAS A HANDS-ON BOOTH AS WELL, WHICH PROVIDES A RANGE OF FUN BUT EDUCATIONAL GAMES FOR CHILDREN.


BOOK PUBLISHINGTHIS ONGOING PROGRAM WAS CREATED TO SET UP A REFERENCE MATERIAL/BOOK TO BE PROVIDED TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC.


OTHER GRANTS AND PROGRAMS INCLUDING:FREE CLINIC & AFGHAN REFUGEES PROGRAMS. FREE CLINIC - THIS IS AN ANNUAL PROGRAM WHERE THE ORGANIZATION PARTNERED WITH COMMONSHARE & A LOCAL CHURCH TO PROVIDE A FREE VACCINE/DENTAL TO NON INSURED PEOPLE AROUND RICHMOND. AFGHA REFUGEES - A CONTINUING PROGRAM WE STARTED THIS YEAR WHERE WE PARTNERED WITH REESTABLISH RICHMOND IN ASSISTING AFGHAN REFUGEES IN THEIR RESETTLEMENT, BY PROVIDING FINANCIAL AIDS, DONATING GOODS AND FINDING JOBS.
