IT IS THE MISSION OF THE CINCINNATI YOUTH CHOIR TO OFFER ALL CHILDREN AND YOUTH THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPERIENCE MUSICAL EXCELLENCE IN A CREATIVE ENVIRONMENT.PARTICIPANTS DEMONSTRATE MUSICAL UNDERSTANDING, ARTISTRY, ACHIEVEMENT AND CONFIDENCE THROUGH PASSIONATE PERFORMANCES AND COLLABORATIONS WITH PREMIER ENSEMBLES AND CHILDREN'S/YOUTH CHOIRS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD. THE CINCINNATI YOUTH CHOIR (CYC) BUILDS STRONGER COMMUNITIES BY CREATING A COMPREHENSIVE FOUNDATION THAT SUPPORTS MUSIC EDUCATORS AND DEVELOPS TOMORROW'S LEADERS

GENERAL CHOIR PROGRAM - PROVIDE QUALITY CHORAL MUSIC EDUCATION PROGRAMS FOR ALL YOUTH WITH MUSICAL PERFORMANCES AROUND GREATER CINCINNATI, ALONG WITH NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL TOURING. APPROXIMATELY 400 CHILDREN WERE SERVED THROUGH A PORTFOLIO OF 6 RESIDENT CHOIRS AND OUR CHORAL QUEST SATELLITE CHOIR IN SELECT CLIFTON AREA SCHOOLS. FINALLY, CYC MANAGES THE CINCINNATI PUBLIC SCHOOLS (CPS) HONOR CHOIR PROGRAM, AN ANNUAL PROGRAM THAT TYPICALLY CONSISTS OF 80+ CPS STUDENTS, FROM 23+ DIFFERENT CPS SCHOOLS. THIS FREE OPPORTUNITY HAS CPS STUDENTS COMBINE FORCES WITH AND PERFORMING ALONGSIDE THE CYC AWARD-WINNING BEL CANTO CHOIR IN CONCERT.
CINCINNATI CHORAL ACADEMY - A FREE, AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM OFFERING COMPREHENSIVE MUSIC LITERACY AND CHORAL EDUCATION TO APPROXIMATELY 140 CINCINNATI PUBLIC SCHOOL (CPS) STUDENTS IN GRADES 3-6. THESE STUDENTS REHEARSE TWICE PER WEEK FOR TWO-HOUR SESSIONS. CINCINNATI CHORAL ACADEMY IS CURRENTLY IN-RESIDENCE AT 7 CPS SCHOOLS, WITH STUDENT ATTENDANCE NUMBERS ON THE RISE.
QUEEN CITY CHOIR FESTIVAL - TYPICALLY 4 TO 6 CHILDREN'S CHOIRS FROM ACROSS THE COUNTRY ARE HOSTED BY THE CYC'S CON BRIO CHOIR FOR A THREE DAY FESTIVAL HELD AT THE UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI. THE QUEEN CITY FESTIVAL FEATURES CHORAL EDUCATION, PERFORMANCES AND ACTIVITIES AROUND THE GREATER CINCINNATI AREA.
SING-A-BRATION SUMMER FESTIVAL PROGRAM - CHILDREN PARTICIPATE IN A WEEK OF CHORAL MUSIC EDUCATION AND PERFORMANCE AT A FESTIVAL HELD AT THE UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI. APPROXIMATELY 50 PARTICIPANTS HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN FROM PROMINENT CLINICIANS AND DEVELOP CAMARADERIE WITH PEERS FROM THE COMMUNITY.
