COMMUNITY SHARES IS A COLLECTIVE OF LOCALLY BASED PUBLIC CHARITIES ESTABLISHED TO COLLABORATIVELY RAISE FUNDS FOR THE BENEFIT OF ITS MEMBERS. COMMUNITY SHARES BUILDS MUTUALLY BENEFICIAL RELATIONSHIPS AND SECURES RESOURCES TO EMPOWER MEMBER NONPROFITS IN CENTRAL OHIO.

COMMUNITY SHARES RAISES FUNDS FOR THE BENEFIT OF ITS MEMBER 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATIONS THROUGH WORKPLACE GIVING CAMPAIGNS. DONORS WHO GIVE THROUGH WORKPLACE CAMPAIGNS DESIGNATE THEIR GIFTS TO A SPECIFIC CHARITY, SPECIFIC INTEREST AREAS (ADDRESSING HUNGER AND HOMELESSNESS, EDUCATION, ADVOCACY, ANIMAL WELFARE, ETC.) OR MAY DESIGNATE THEIR GIFTS TO BE DISTRIBUTED TO ALL MEMBERS OF COMMUNITY SHARES.


WORKPLACE CAMPAIGNS HAVE PROVED TO A TIME AND COST-EFFECTIVE METHOD OF RAISING MONEY AND AWARENESS OF SOCIETAL INJUSTICE. THESE CAMPAIGNS OFFER THE ABILITY TO REACH A LARGE NUMBER OF PEOPLE ABOUT SERVICES AVAILABLE TO THE COMMUNITY THROUGH DIVERSE NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AND OFFERS EMPLOYEES OF ALL INCOME LEVELS METHODS FOR MAKING PHILANTHROPY MORE DIVERSE AND DEMOCRATIC.


COMMUNITY SHARES OFFERS SERVICES TO NONPROFITS TO TRACK AND MONITOR COMPLIANCE FILING ASSISTANCE AND OFFERS A COMPREHENSIVE FISCAL SPONSORSHIP MODEL TO SOCIAL IMPACT PROJECTS AND STARTUP NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS BY PROVIDING FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT, HR MANAGEMENT, RISK MANAGEMENT AND COMPLIANCE OVERSIGHT. THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES THE PROJECT THE ABILITY TO EFFICIENTLY TEST IDEAS AND ALLOWS THEM TO GET UP AND RUNNING WITH THE GUIDANCE AND OVERSIGHT OF A PROVEN NONPROFIT WHO EXERCISES THE DISCRETION AND CONTROL OVER THEIR RESOURCES AS WELL AS PROVIDING THE LEGAL AND FIDUCIARY GUIDANCE NECESSARY TO ATTAIN TAX EXEMPT STATUS.
