OHIO WILDLIFE REHABILITATORS ASSOCIATION (OWRA) MISSION IS TO PROMOTE WILDLIFE CONSERVATION BY PROVIDING RESOURCES TO WILDLIFE REHABILITATORS, EDUCATORS AND THE COMMUNITY. OWRA IS COMMITTED TO EDUCATION AND BEST PRACTICE DEVELOPMENT TO SUPPORT REHABILITATORS WHO HELP INJURED AND ORPHANED WILDLIFE.

Part 3 - Line 4a

THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE WAS CONDUCTED IN-PERSON IN 2021. CONFERENCE TOPICS INCLUDED THE FOLLOWING: FLUID THERAPY, TURTLE SHELL REPAIR, SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVES, MINK CARE, BOBCAT POPULATION AND MUCH MORE. GRANTS WERE ISSUED TO SEVERAL CONFERENCE ATTENDEES TO PROMOTE LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS.


COVID CONTINUED TO IMPACT WORKSHOP PROGRAMS IN 2021. WORKSHOP TRAINING PROGRAMS WERE LIMITED. INTRODUCTION TO WILDLIFE REHABILITATION (IWR) TRAINING WAS LED BOTH IN-PERSON ALLOWING REHABILITATORS TO RECEIVE CATEGORY I PERMIT TRAINING.


NEWSLETTERS AND THE COMPANY WEBSITE ARE MAINTAINED AS REGULAR METHODS TO EDUCATE AND COMMUNICATE WITH MEMBERS REGARDING PROGRAMS, WORKSHOPS AND ANY ANIMAL WELFARE TOPICS TO SUPPORT BEST PRACTICES.
