2021 WAS UNDOUBETDLY THE MOST CHALLENDING YEAR IN THE SCHOOL'S HISTORY. EVEN THOUGH HARAMBEE WAS ABLE TO OFFER IN PERSON INSTRUCTION FOR PARTS OF THE SCHOOL YEAR, A SIGNIFICANT PERCENTAGE OF FAMILIES MADE THE DECISIONS TO OPT IN FOR REMOTE LEARNING. AS A RESULT, IN-PERSON LEARING BECAME 'HYBRID' LEARNING, WHICH CAME WITH SIGNIFICANT LIMITATIONS FOR STUDENTS LEARNING BOTH ON SITE AND REMOTELY. HARAMBEE STAFF REMAINED STEADFAST ANDS WORKED HARD AND REMAINED FLEXIBLE. WHILE MOST SCHOOLS AND DISTRICTS SAW LOW ATTENDANCE RATES, HARAMBEE STUDENTS ATTENDED SCHOOL - EITHER IN PERSON OR REMOTELY - AT THE SAME RATEE AS A TYPICAL YEAR. REMOTE STUDENTS, SPECIFICALLY ACHIEVED OVER A 90% DAILY ATTENDANCE RATE.
CONTINUED SUPPORT OF OTHER LOCAL NGOS MANY STUDENTS WERE SPONSORED, AND UNDER/MALNOURISHED KIDS WERE FED. WORKED WITHIN THE COMMUNITY LIBRARIES ON LITERACY PROGRAMS. TEENS WERE ENGAGED IN YOUTH CLUBS, AND OTHER STUDENTS WERE PLACED IN JOB SKILLS PROGRAMS.
SINCE ITS INCEPTIONS, HARAMBEE IMPORTS HAS GENERATED 50,000 IN REVENUE AND HAS EVEN BEEN ABLE TO TITHE 5,000 BACK TO HOPE FOR HILLTRIBES, AS A PART OF THEIR PHILANTHROPIC GOALS. THE AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM, MENTORING, AND BIBLE STUDIES CONTINUE.
51% OF THE CURRENT K-5 STUDENTS ATTEND RENEGADE ON SUNDAYS (A XENOS BIBLE STUDY FOR URBAN YOUTH). 79% OF MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS ATTNED WEEKLY SMALL GROUPS 15 HIGH SCHOOL AGED AND 5 COLLEGE AGED ALUMNI ATTEND HOME CHURCHES CONSISTANTLY. 41 HARAMBEE MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDNETS ATTENDED BLOW OUT CAMP. 17 HARAMBEE ALUMNI ATTENDED EPIC CAMP.
