IS AN OHIO NON-PROFIT CORPORATION WHICH DISTRIBUTES GROCERIES ON AN EMERGENCY, TEMPORARY BASIS WHILE TEACHING SELF-HELP TO NEEDY, LOW INCOME, DISADVANTAGED PERSONS AND FAMILIES IN THE CITY OF HAMILTON AREA BUTLER, COUNTY, OHIO. THE AGENCY IS LOCATED IN A LOW INCOME, RACIALLY MIXED NEIGHBORHOOD WITH A HIGH UNEMPLOYEMENT RATE. THE AGENCY PANTRY IS LOCATED IN A LOW INCOME POPULATION AREA. THE NEIGHBORHOOD AROUND THE PANTRY IS A RACIALLY MIXED AREA WITH A HIGH RATE OF UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE. THE ORGANIZATION IS A PROVIDER OF SUFFICIENT EMERGENCY FOOD FOR 3-5 DAYS. APPROXIMATELY 5,896 NEEDY INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILY UNITS WERE SERVED FOOD IN YEAR 2021. THE ORGANIZATION USES ALMOST ALL VOLUNTEER LABOR EXCEPT FOR THE PAID DIRECTOR. VOLUNTEERS CHECK IN FOOD CONTRIBUTIONS AND STOCK SHELVES. ALMOST ALL OF THE FOOD DISTRIBUTED IS DONATED.
