ST. ANTHONY'S HOSPICE, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE COMMUNITY, SEEKS TO MAXIMIZE THE QUALITY AND DIGNITY OF LIFE FOR INDIVIDUALS FACING LIFE-LIMITING ILLNESSES. THROUGH A HOLISTIC APPROACH, OUR PROFESSIONAL TEAM IS HONORED TO GUIDE AND EMPOWER PATIENTS, FAMILIES AND CAREGIVERS DURING LIFE'S MOST SACRED JOURNEY. ST. ANTHONY'S HOSPICE PROVIDES EXTENSIVE NURSING AND HOME-CARE AIDE SERVICES IN A PATIENT'S HOME, NURSING HOME OR THE LUCY SMITH KING CARE CENTER WHEN A COMMUNITY MEMBER IS FACING A LIFE-LIMITING ILLNESS. IN ADDITION TO NURSING CARE, PATIENTS RECEIVE SPIRITUAL AND EMOTIONAL CARE THROUGH OUR SOCIAL WORK AND CHAPLAINCY SERVICES. WE ALSO OFFER BEREAVEMENT CARE TO FAMILIES OF A LOVED ONE WHO PASSED AWAY, WHETHER OR NOT THE DECEASED WAS UNDER ST. ANTHONY'S HOSPICE CARE. THE ST. HOME HOSPICE - PROVIDES MEDICAL TREATMENT, CARE AND SUPPORT TO TERMINALLY ILL PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES ON AN OUTPATIENT BASIS IN THE HOME. CARE OF LIFE-LIMITING ILL PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES. RATHER THAN TRYING TO CURE AN ILLNESS, HOSPICE EFFORTS ARE DIRECTED TOWARD MAKING THE PATIENT COMFORTABLE EASING PAIN WHILE SUPPORTING THE FAMILY THROUGH A CHALLENGING TIME.


LUCY SMITH KING CARE CENTER, INPATIENT HOSPICE - GENERAL INPATIENT CARE (GIP) IS AVAILABLE TO ALL PATIENTS WHO ARE IN NEED OF PAIN CONTROL OR SYMPTOM MANAGEMENT THAT CANNOT BE PROVIDED IN ANY OTHER SETTING. SKILLED NURSING CARE MAY BE NEEDED BY A PATIENT WHOSE HOME SUPPORT HAS BROKEN DOWN IF THIS BREAKDOWN MAKES IT NO LONGER FEASIBLE TO FURNISH NEEDED CARE IN THE HOME SETTING.


PALLIATIVE CARE - SPECIALIZED MEDICAL CARE FOR PEOPLE WITH SERIOUS ILLNESS. THIS TYPE OF CARE IS FOCUSED ON PROVIDING RELIEF FROM THE SYMPTOMS AND STRESS OF A SERIOUS ILLNESS. THE GOAL IS TO IMPROVE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR BOTH THE PATIENT AND THE FAMILY. PALLIATIVE CARE IS PROVIDED IN THE HOME SETTING.
