ICADV WORKS FOR THE PREVENTION AND ELIMINATION OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE - UNTIL THE VIOLENCE ENDS. ICADV WORKS TO ELIMINATE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE THROUGH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF PREVENTION PROGRAMS AND PUBLIC AWARENESS IN COMMUNITIES AND SCHOOLS, THROUGH ADVOCACY FOR SYSTEM CHANGE, AND THROUGH THE INFLUENCING OF PUBLIC POLICY AND ALLOCATION OF RESOURCES.

PREVENTION, SERVICES AND AWARENESS: ICADV'S TEAM CONTINUED TO DEVELOP PROGRAMMING AND PROVIDE TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO THE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND PREVENTION COMMUNITY THROUGH AN EQUITY FRAMEWORK. ACTIVITIES INCLUDED THE IMPLEMENTATION OF BEST PRACTICES MODELS SUCH AS MOBILE ADVOCACY, THE CREATION OF A SURVIVOR ADVISORY BOARD, BELONGINGNESS COHORT TO REDUCE LONELINESS AMONG SURVIVORS AND BLACK, INDIGENOUS AND COMMUNITY OF COLOR LEARNING NETWORK. ADDITIONALLY, COMMUNICATED NEWS AND EDUCATIONAL INFORMATION TO THE PUBLIC THROUGH E-NEWSLETTERS, WEBSITES, SOCIAL MEDIA, EVENTS, AWARENESS CAMPAIGNS, BROCHURES, AND PODCASTS. ICADV DISTRIBUTED 5,000 EDUCATION MATERIALS TO INDIVIDUALS AT EXHIBITS/FAIRS AND THROUGH OTHER COMMUNITY PARTNERS, 12 E-NEWSLETTERS TO OVER 60,000 INDIVIDUALS, AWARENESS CAMPAIGN MATERIALS THROUGH SOCIAL MEDIA AND TOOL KITS.


DIRECT SERVICES: ICADV PROVIDED LEGAL ASSISTANCE AND ADVOCACY TO SURVIVORS OF INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE AND ICADV MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS. DIRECT SERVICES WERE PROVIDED TO APPROXIMATELY 3,587 VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, SEXUAL ASSAULT, TEEN DATING VIOLENCE, AND STALKING. ICADV ATTORNEY'S PROVIDED LEGAL ASSISTANCE TO 2,963 PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SURVIVORS. A TOTAL OF 5,330 SERVICES WERE PROVIDED TO SURVIVORS, WHICH INCLUDED CRISIS INTERVENTION, RESOURCE AND REFERRAL, COURT ACCOMPANIMENT, RELOCATION ASSISTANCE, EVICTION ASSISTANCE, LEGAL AND IMMIGRATION ASSISTANCE. ICADV COLLABORATES WITH THE NATIONAL DOMESTIC VIOLENCE HOTLINE TO RESPOND TO THE STATES' 24-HOUR CRISIS LINE AND DEAF HOPE TO RESPOND TO THE NEEDS OF DEAF OR HARD OF HEARING SURVIVORS. NATIONAL DOMESTIC VIOLENCE HOTLINE ADVOCATES PROVIDED A COMPASSIONATE ADVOCACY RESPONSE TO HOOSIERS CALLING FOR ASSISTANCE. ICADV ALSO PROVIDED OVER $168, 883 IN DIRECT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO 273 HOUSEHOLDS THROUGH MATCH SAVINGS OR EMERGENCY FLEX FUNDING. MATCH SAVINGS ASSETS AND FLEX FUNDING EXPENSES INCLUDED HOUSING, TRANSPORTATION, UTILITIES, RELOCATION, DEBIT RELIEF, AND JOB READINESS SUPPLIES.


COORDINATION, COLLABORATION, AND TRAINING: ICADV HELPED SURVIVORS OF INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE HAVE ACCESS TO "BEST PRACTICE" SERVICE APPROACHES, RESOURCE AND SUPPORT THEY NEED. ICADV PROVIDED COMPREHENSIVE TRAINING TO MORE THAN 3,000 PROFESSIONALS ANNUALLY THROUGH IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL TRAINING AT THE COMMUNITY, REGIONAL, AND STATE LEVEL. PROGRAM STAFF PROVIDED COMPREHENSIVE IN-PERSON AND REMOTE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO MEMBER PROGRAMS AND ALLIED PROFESSIONALS. STAFF FIELDED A TOTAL OF 1,704 REQUESTS FOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FROM DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, BATTERER'S INTERVENTION PROGRAMS, CRIMINAL JUSTICE PERSONNEL, MENTAL/HEALTH CARE, AND OTHER COMMUNITY-BASED PROGRAMS.
