TO PROVIDE SAFE, ACCEPTING, AND AFFIRMING PROGRAMMING, SERVICES, AND RESOURCES TO EMPOWER THE LGBTQ+ COMMUNITY.

OUR SPOT FOCUSES ON HOUSING ASSISTANCE, SUPPORT AND CAST MANAGEMENT. LION HOUSE IS AN LGBTQ-SPECIFIC TRANSITIONAL AND RAPID REHOUSING PROGRAM THAT SEEKS TO COME FROM A COMMUNITY FIRST AND HOUSING PLUS APPROACH. TRANSITIONAL HOUSING IS A SHORT TERM HOUSING PROGRAM THAT IS DESIGNED TO BEST SUPPORT SPECIFIC SEGMENTS OF THE HOMELESS POPULATION, INCLUDING WORKING HOMELESS PEOPLE WHO ARE EARNING TOO LITTLE MONEY TO AFFORD LONG-TERM HOUSING.OUR SPOT KC IS FIGHTING TO PROVIDE A SPACE FOR THE MARGINALIZED IN OUR COMMUNITY, THOSE ON THE OUTSKRTS. DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF INTENTIONAL PROGRAMMING TO ADDRESS HEALTH DISPARITIES FACED BY LBTQ WOMEN AND COMMUNITIES OF COLOR. PROVIDE A SERIES OF EVENTS INCLUDING FREE TRAINING, EDUCATION, DISCUSSIONS, HEALTH FAIRS, AND HEALTH CENTERED ACTIVITIES. PROVIDE ACCESS TO CULTURALLY COMPETENT HEALTH ADVOCATES WHO ARE TRAINED TO SUPPORT PARTICIPANTS IN NAVIGATING THE HEALTHCARE SYSTEM.
