CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION: NEW YORK ACEP WILL ASSURE THE AVAILABILITY OF HIGH-QUALITY UNDERGRADUATE AND GRADUATE EDUCATION IN EMERGENCY MEDICINE AND WILL BE THE KEY PROVIDER OF CONTINUING EDUCATION IN EMERGENCY MEDICINE IN NEW YORK STATE. CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION COURSES OFFERED ACROSS NEW YORK STATE TO EMERGENCY PHYSICIANS AND EMERGENCY MEDICINE PROVIDERS. THE EMERGENCY MEDICINE RESIDENT COMMITTEE PROVIDES A UNIFIED VOICE FOR EMERGENCY MEDICINE RESIDENTS AND IN NEW YORK STATE.
RESIDENTS DAY: FOCUSES ON EDUCATIONAL TOPICS OF INTEREST FOR ALL RESIDENTS AND TO HELP RESIDENTS EVALUATE CAREER OPTIONS, DISCOVER JOB OPPORTUNITIES AND GAIN INSIGHTS INTO THE INTERVIEWING AND NEGOTIATION PROCESS. THE PROGRAM WILL INCLUDE A JOB FAIR TO ALLOW RESIDENTS TO MEET WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF HOSPITALS AND RECRUITING FIRMS.
INTERNATIONAL TRAUMA LIFE SUPPORT: NEW YORK ACEP WILL PROVIDE PHYSICIAN LEADERSHIP TO ADVOCATE FOR QUALITY PRE-HOSPITAL CARE AND ADVANCE THE STATE EMS SYSTEM. PROVIDES PRE-HOSPITAL CARE PROVIDERS WITH METHODICAL APPROACH TOWARD EVALUATION TECHNIQUES TO PROVIDE KNOWLEDGE AND HANDS-ON SKILLS TO TAKE BETTER CARE OF TRAUMA PATIENTS. THE ITLS ENABLES PROVIDERS TO MASTER THE LATEST TECHNIQUES IN RAPID ASSESSMENT, APPROPRIATE INTERVENTION AND IDENTIFICATION OF IMMEDIATE LIFE-THREATENING INJURIES.
