PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDENTS PURSUING HIGHER EDUCATION AND SUPPLY AWARDS TO YOUNG PEOPLE PARTICIPATING IN YOUTH PROGRAMS, BOTH EQUINE AND GENERAL. ONE SCHOLARSHIP WAS AWARDED IN THIS FISCAL YEAR.
CO SPONSOR DAY AND SUMMER CAMPS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE TO OBTAIN HANDS ON EXPERIENCE WITH HORSES. EVENTS ARE GEARED TO PROVIDE INTENSE LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES ABOUT GENERAL HORSE CARE AND SPECIFIC DIFFERENCES BETWEEN RACE AND PLEASURE HORSES.
DISTRIBUTE EDUCATIONAL HARNESS RACING LITERATURE TO ORGANIZATIONS, INDIVIDUALS, TRADE SHOWS AND CONFERENCES. DEVELOP, PRODUCE AND DISTRIBUTE VIDEOS, BOOKLETS, AND OTHER PRINTED LITERATURE ABOUT EQUINE AND HARNESS RACING CAREERS.
