UNITED WAY OF UNION COUNTY UTILIZES A VOLUNTEER DRIVEN PROCESS TO INVEST RESOURCES IN PROGRAMS AND SERVICES WHICH MAKE A DIFERENCE IN MANY WAYS AND IMPACT THOUSAND OF PEOPE'S LIVES IN UNION COUNTY. BY USING THE COMMUNITY'S EXPERTISE AND RESOURCES, THE UNITED WAY COMPETETLY AND EFFICIENTLY REACH PEOPL IN IMMEDIATE NEED AND PROVID PROGRAMS FOR A WIDE VARIETY OF SERVICES.


UNITED WAY OF UNION COUNTY ALLOWS DONORS TO DESGNATE GIFTS TO OTHER UNITED WAYS OR SPECIFIC AGENCIES. ORGANIZATIONS RECEIVING DONOR DESIGNATED CONTRIBUTIONS THROUGH UNITED WAY UNDERGO SCREENING PRIOR TO DISTRIBUTION OF FUNDING. SUCH SCREENING INCLUDES VERIFICATION OF COMPLIANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE PATRIOT ACT AND VERIFICATION OF CURRENT STATUS AS AN IRS CODE SECTION 501(C) (3) NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION.
