TO ADHERE TO THE AMERICAN LEGION PREAMBLE INCLUDING THE PROVISION OF FELLOWSHIP FOR MILITARY VETERANS AND TO PROVIDE GRANTS TO ASSIST THOSE IN NEED INCLUDING NEEDY FAMILIES, YOUTH GROUPS, AND VARIOUS MILITARY AND COMMUNITY GROUPS.

POST PARTICIPATION ON MEMORIAL DAY INCLUDING THE POST COLOR GUARD AND ORGANIZING THE ANNUAL MEMORIAL DAY PARADE. OUR POST COMMANDER IS ORGANIZATIONALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PARADE FORMATION OF ALL PARTICIPANTS. AT THE END OF FESTIVITIES ALL MEMBERS AND THE COMMUNITY ARE INVITED BACK TO THE POST FOR MEMORIAL DAY FESTIVITIES INCLUDING LUNCH AND REFRESHMENTS.


POST ANNUAL ARMY/NAVY FOOTBALL GAME RAISED FUNDS FOR THE GENERAL FUND OF THE POST. ALL CLUBROOM PROCEEDS DONATED TO THE GENERAL FUND-$ 1,620.


OUR POST SPONSORS THE ANNUAL INDEPENDENCE DAY FESTIVAL INCLUDING THE ANNUAL FIREWORKS SHOW.


THE POST SPONSORS A BOOTH AT "THE TASTE OF READING" SELLING REFRESHMENTS AND FOOD. ALL NET PROCEEDS WAS DONATED TO THE VALLEY INTERFAITH COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTER (LOCAL FOOD BANK-$ 1,400 DONATED).
