IN YOUR HANDS DBA PALO ALTO PREPARATORY SCHOOL IS A UNIQUE, PRIVATE, COLLEGE PREP HIGH SCHOOL DESIGNED TO CULTIVATE STUDENT SUCCESS. SMALL CLASS SIZES, EXPERIENTIAL EDUCATION, AND EMOTIONAL/PHYSICAL SAFETY, SHAPE THE SCHOOL. AS NEEDED, THE NECESSARY RESOURCES TO SUPPORT THE LD STUDENT COMMUNITY ARE INCORPORATED INTO THE CURRICULUM TO FOSTER THE GROWTH OF WELL-ROUNDED INDIVIDUALS. WITH A 100% HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION RATE, REPORTS HAVE SHOWN THAT PALO ALTO PREPARATORY HAS ACHIEVED A 93% COLLEGE GRADUATION RATE ONCE STUDENTS GRADUATE FROM PALO ALTO PREP. OUR CURRENT SENIORS, CLASS OF 2022, ARE ATTENDING THE FOLLOWING COLLEGES: MILLS COLLEGE, OREGON STATE UNIVERSITY, SAN FRANCISCO STATE, UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON , CAL STATE SONOMA, UNIVERSITY OF DENVER, UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO BOULDER CAL POLY SAN LUIS OBISPO, AND ST MARYS COLLEGE, AS WELL AS MANY LOCAL COMMUNITY COLLEGES. WE HELD MONTHLY STUDENT EVENTS TO PROMOTE SOCIALIZATION FOR OUR STUDENTS AS WELL AS A PROM. WE WERE ABLE TO RESUME OVERNIGHT EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING EXPERIENCES TAKING A GROUP OF STUDENTS TO THE DEEP SOUTH TRACING THE CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT AS PART OF THE SOJOURN PROJECT, OUR 25TH YEAR PARTICIPATING. AS WELL AS TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA TO VISIT COLLEGES, ANOTHER GROUP TO MOTHER LODE RIVER RAFTING AND CAMPING, AS WELL AS DAY TRIPS TO MUSEUMS AS WELL AT THE MONTEREY BAY AQUARIUM. WE ADDED AN ASL TEACHER AND STUDENT SUPPORT PERSON FULL TIME. WE ALSO ADDED AN ADDITIONAL FULL TIME MATH TEACHER. OUR VICE PRINCIPAL JUST COMPLETED A MASTERS IN SPECIAL EDUCATION WHICH BRINGS US A TOTAL OF FOUR SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS. IN ADDITION, WE CONTINUED TO GROW OUR SOCIAL MEDIA ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN ON FB AND INSTAGRAM TO FAVORABLE RESULTS, AS WELL AS CREATED A CAMPAIGN TO REACH ADVOCATES AND COUNSELORS TO MAKE THEM MORE AWARE OF THE STUDENTS WE SERVE.WE HAVE ALSO RAMPED UP OUR MARKETING TO LOCAL MIDDLE SCHOOLS AND OUR OTHER SCHOOL PARTNERS
