OUR MISSION IS ENDING THE EUTHANASIA OF CATS AND DOGS IN LOCAL SHELTERS AND KEEPING PETS IN THEIR LOVING HOMES BY PROVIDING PROFESSIONAL AND AFFORDABLE SPAY/NEUTER SERVICES AND WELLNESS.

UCANS MISSION IS ENDING THE EUTHANASIA OF CATS AND DOGS IN LOCAL SHELTERS AND KEEPING PETS IN THEIR LOVING HOMES BY PROVIDING PROFESSIONAL AND AFFORDABLE SPAY/NEUTER AND WELLNESS SERVICES. IN 2022, WE PERFORMED 12,709 SPAY/NEUTER SURGERIES. THESE SURGERIES PREVENTED HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF UNWANTED PUPPIES AND KITTENS FROM BEING INTO ABUSE, NEGLECT AND ULTIMATELY FACING EUTHANASIA IN OVERCROWDED SHELTERS. THE SURGERIES, WHICH PREVENT OR SUBSTANTIALLY REDUCE CERTAIN TYPES OF ILLNESSES AND CANCERS, WILL ALSO HELP THESE PETS LIVE LONGER, HEALTHIER LIVES.
IN OUR WELLNESS BUSINESS, CLIENTS RECEIVE LOW-COST VACCINES AND OTHER PREVENTATIVE CARE AT OUR FRIDAY VACCINE CLINICS AND INCOME-QUALIFIED CLIENTS RECEIVE BASIC VETERINARY CARE AND PET FOOD SO THEY CAN KEEP THEIR BELOVED PETS WITH THEM INSTEAD OF BEING FORCED TO SURRENDER THEM TO A SHELTER. IN 2022, THROUGH OUR WELLNESS BUSINESS, 4,813 ANIMALS RECEIVED BASIC VETERINARY SERVICES AND 27,656 POUNDS OF PET FOOD WERE DISTRIBUTED.
