THE ELIZABETH SMART FOUNDATION SAW THE DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A NEW SELF-DEFENSE PROGRAM CALLED SMART DEFENSE. THE OBJECTIVE OF THE PROGRAM IS TO EMPOWER WOMEN AND GIRLS AGES 12+, WITH THE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND CONFIDENCE TO PREVENT, WARD-OFF, AND FIGHT BACK AGAINST PREDATORS. ESF HAS ALSO EXPANDED THE EDUCATION PROGRAM TO INCLUDED ADDITIONAL HELP RESOURCES AND INFORMATION TO BRING HOPE AND END VICTIMIZATION FROM SEXUAL ASSAULT AND ABUSE THROUGH PREVENTION, RECOVERY, AND ADVOCACY.
