TO RESTORE AND PROTECT THE JOY OF YOUTH THROUGH EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND POSITIVE ACTIONS IN COLLABORATION WITH FAMILIES, SCHOOLS, COMMUNITIES, AND GOVERNMENT ENTITIES.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
STANDARD REUNIFICATION METHOD AND STANDARD RESPONSE PROTOCOL ARE THE FLAGSHIP PROGRAMS OF THE FOUNDATION. PAYMENTS BY ORGANIZATIONS REQUESTING KEYNOTE PRESENTATIONS, TRAINING OR AFFILIATION ARE THE PRIMARY REVENUE SOURCE. THE THE PROGRAMS ARE BEING USED BY OVER 18,000,000 STUDENTS, 800,000 EDUCATORS, AND 50,000 POLICE AND OTHER LAW ENFORCEMENT IN THE US AND CANADA. AT THE ONSET OF THE PANDEMIC, ABOUT $300,000 OF SCHEDULED IN-PERSON TRAININGS WERE CANCELLED AND THE FOUNDATION COMPLETELY CANCELLED THE JULY SYMPOSIUM RESULTING IN $11,000 IN REFUNDS. BY LATE APRIL, A STUDIO WAS COMPLETED AND REMOTE TRAININGS COMMENCED, CONTINUING THROUGH THE END OF DECEMBER. EXISTING EQUIPMENT AND ABOUT $3,000 IN NEW GEAR WAS REQUIRED TO CREATE THE STUDIO.
IN 2020, THE FOUNDATION HOSTED TWO SYMPOSIUMS REMOTELY FROM THEIR OFFICE BROADCAST STUDIO FOR THE PURPOSES OF PROVIDING VALUABLE INFORMATION BY GUEST SPEAKERS AND TRAINING OUR OWN PROGRAMS. THESE GENERATE REVENUE AS WELL AS INCREASE OUR REACH TO DISTRICTS, DEPARTMENTS AND AGENCIES. THE CURRICULUM IS APPROVED FOR CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS FOR COUNSELORS AND PSYCHOLOGISTS THROUGH THE COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF REGULATORY AFFAIRS, PEACE OFFICER STANDARDS AND TRAINING (POST) CREDITS FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT AND EQUIVALENT IN VARIOUS STATES, AND APPROVED BY THE TEXAS COMMISSION ON LAW ENFORCEMENT (TCOLE). THESE APPROVALS HELP INCREASE ATTENDENCE, AND PROVIDE VALUE FOR PARTICIPANTS. BECAUSE OF THE TREMENDOUS LOSS OF REVENUE DUE TO THE PANDEMIC, THE FOUNDATION APPLIED FOR, AND RECEIVED THE SBA PAYROLL PROTECTION PROGRAM LOAN (LATER FORGIVEN), AND AN ECONOMIC INJURY AND DISASTER LOAN WHICH WILL BE PAID OFF OVER THE NEXT 20 YEARS.
