ADVOCATES IS A NON-PROFIT, VOLUNTEER-BASED ORGANIZATION WHOSE MISSION IS TO END DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT IN THE GRAND COUNTY COMMUNITY. TO ACCOMPLISH THIS MISSION WE PROVIDE EXTENSIVE VICTIM SUPPORT SERVICES, INFORMATION, PREVENTION EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY AWARENESS.

IN 2023, ADVOCATES HAD 103 NEW CLIENTS, 109 REPEAT CLIENTS, AND 526 ONGOING CALLS FOR ASSISTANCE FROM VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT. WE PROVIDED SAFE HOUSING TO 37 VICTIMS AND CHILDREN FOR A COMBINED 77 NIGHTS. WE MET ON SCENE WITH 79 CLIENTS, AND ATTENDED COURT 18 TIMES. WE PROVIDED SAFETY PLANS TO 12 VICTIMS. CLIENT NUMBERS ARE INCREASING OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS.
