THE MISSION OF THE FRIENDS OF DANGBERG HOME RANCH IS TO PROTECT AND SHARE THE RESOURCES OF THE DANGBERG HOME RANCH HISTORIC PARK TO PROMOTE UNDERSTANDING OF CARSON VALLEYS AGRICULTURAL HISTORY AND TO PROVIDE ARTS AND CULTURAL OPPORTUNITIES AS A PUBLIC PARK.

1. VISITOR AND INTERPRETIVE SERVICES. FRIENDS OF DANGBERG PROVIDES ALL VISITOR SERVICES AT THE HISTORIC PARK. USUALLY, THESE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. IN FY2021-22, 2843 PEOPLE CAME TO THE PARK TO SEE THE GROUNDS, HISTORIC BUILDINGS, AND INTERPRETIVE SIGNAGE AND MUSEUM DISPLAYS, WITH GUIDANCE FROM STAFF AND VOLUNTEER DOCENTS. THE OBJECTIVE IS TO HELP VISITORS UNDERSTAND AND ENJOY THE HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE SITE AND THE PEOPLE WHO LIVED THERE. 2. CULTURAL PROGRAMMING. EACH SPRING-SUMMER, FRIENDS OF DANGBERG ORGANIZES A SERIES OF PUBLIC ARTS AND CULTURE EVENTS FOR PRESENTATION AT THE HISTORIC PARK. IN THE RELEVANT PERIOD, THESE EVENTS NUMBERED ALMOST TWO-DOZEN AND INCLUDED A WEEKEND OF KITE-FLYING DEMONSTRATIONS AND ACTIVITIES, SEVERAL MUSIC CONCERTS, SEVERAL CHAUTAUQUA PORTRAYALS, AND SEVERAL AUTHOR/HISTORIAN PRESENTATIONS, WITH 2,621 PEOPLE PARTICIPATING. THE OBJECTIVE IS TO PROVIDE AUDIENCES WITH A CHOICE OF CULTURA 3. HISTORIC RESTORATION AND MAINTENANCE. MUCH OF THE FUNDRAISING CONDUCTED BY FRIENDS OF DANGBERG IS FOCUSED ON THE RESTORATION AND LONG-TERM MAINTENANCE OF THE PARKS HISTORIC GROUNDS, STRUCTURES AND MUSEUM COLLECTION. IN ADDITION TO ONGOING MAINTENANCE AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE PARKS GROUNDS, AS WELL AS PROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT OF THE ARTIFACTS, THE ORGANIZATIONS MAIN OBJECTIVE IN THIS AREA DURING THE TAX YEAR WAS TO RAISE FUNDS TO PAY FOR FUTURE RESTORATION WORK ON THREE HISTORIC STRUCTURES AT THE PARK. THE RESTORATION PROJECT WAS STARTED IN THIS TAX YEAR, AND COMPLETED IN OCTOBER 2022.
