PAY IT FORWARDS BRIDGE PROGRAM PROVIDES EMERGENCY MOVE-IN FUNDING FOR OTHERWISE INDIGENT INDIVIDUALS TO MOVE INTO ONE OF 70+ PRIVATE PARTNER SOBER LIVING HOMES IN THE COMMUNITY. IN 2021, PAY IT FORWARD PROVIDED MOVE-IN FUNDING FOR 358 INDIVIDUALS. THIS REPRESENTS A 28% INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF CLIENTS SERVED IN 2020 THROUGH THE BRIDGE PROGRAM. ADDITIONALLY, THE BRIDGE PROGRAM ENJOYED AN OUTSTANDING SUCCESS RATE OF 92% OF CLIENTS EITHER STILL RESIDING IN SOBER LIVING OR HAVING MOVED OUT SOBER. PAY IT FORWARDS ONE-OF-A-KIND PROGRAMS ALLEVIATE THE FINANCIAL BARRIERS TO SAFE, SUPPORTIVE, SOBER LIVING AND ALLOW OUR CLIENTS TO TRANSITION BACK INTO SOCIETY ON THEIR TERMS, SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASING THEIR CHANCES FOR SUCCESS AND SELF-SUFFICIENCY.
THE PIF SOBER LIVING DORM (FORMERLY KNOWN AS THE NEXT RIGHT STEP) , OPERATES ON THE HAVEN FOR HOPE CAMPUS AND OFFERS 46 BEDS FOR MEN AND 15 BEDS FOR WOMEN FOR THOSE WHO HAVE COMPLETED PRIMARY SUBSTANCE USE TREATMENT. OUR DORM RESIDENTS CAN LIVE WITH US FOR UP TO ONE YEAR, ALLOWING THEM AMPLE TIME TO ADDRESS ANY ADDITIONAL BARRIERS TO SELF-SUFFICIENCY. MANY OF OUR SOBER LIVING DORM RESIDENTS TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE SERVICES OFFERED THROUGH HAVEN FOR HOPE AND OTHER COMMUNITY PARTNERS TO OBTAIN PERMANENT HOUSING, MOVE INTO A COMMUNITY RECOVERY HOME, OR BECOME REUNITED WITH THEIR FAMILY. MOVING OUT OF OUR SOBER LIVING DORM UNDER ANY OF THESE CIRCUMSTANCES IS EVIDENCE OF SUBSTANTIAL PROGRESS FROM WHAT THEIR LIFE LOOKED LIKE UPON THEIR INITIAL ENTRY TO THE PROGRAM. 148 INDIVIDUALS WERE SERVED IN THE DORM PROGRAM IN 2021.
