TO RESCUE DOGS FROM OUR LOCAL HUMANE SOCIETIES REHABILITATE AND TRAIN THEM TO BECOME SERVICE DOGS TO ASSIST OUR LOCAL DISABLED VETERANS FIRST RESPONDERS AND CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES. THE MISSION IS TO HELP THE DISABLED LEAD MORE NORMAL LIVES BY HAVING OUR SERVICE DOGS HELP THEM 24 7.

TIGER IS A MINI SHARPEI WHO CAME TO US AT THE AGE OF 1 YEAR. AFTER 7 MONTHS OF TRAINING WE PLACED HIM WITH A MILITARY VETERAN WHO SERVED IN VIETNAM AND HAS SINCE SUFFERED INCESSANTLY FROM SEVERE PTSD. TIGER IS TRAINED TO SENSE HIGH ANXIETY FROM STRESS AND TO LEAD HIS OWNER OUT OF SUCH SITUATIONS. IT HAS BEEN A LIFE CHANGING GIFT.
CHARLIE WAS A 2 YEAR OLD HOUND DOG WHEN HIS OWNER BROUGHT HIM TO BE EVALUATED FOR SERVICE WORK. HIS OWNER IS 91 AND NEEDS ASSISTANCE FOR MOBILITY GETTING UP SITTING DOWN BALANCE AS WELL AS HAVING THINGS RETRIEVED AS IT IS DANGEROUS FOR HIM TO BEND DOWN. CHARLIE WILL RETRIEVE ANYTHING HIS OWNER DROPS GLASSES WALLET ETC AND OVERALL HAS MADE LIFE SAFER AND HAPPIER IN EVERY WAY.
MARCO WAS A ONE-YEAR-OLD AIRDALE TERRIER WHEN WE ADOPTED HIM AND HE HAD AN INNATE ABILITY TO DETECT ONCOMING SEIZURES A SKILL WE HONED OVER THE NEXT YEAR. WE PLACED HIM WITH A 12-YEAR-OLD BOY WHOSE LIFE WAS EXTREMELY CURTAILED BECAUSE OF HIS REGULAR SEIZURES. MARCO NOW DETECTS HIS SEIZURES IN ADVANCE AT LEAST 30 MINUTES AHEAD AND NOW THE YOUNG MAN IS BACK IN SCHOOL AND ENJOYING LIFE EVERY DAY.
