CU PERU TRAINED MORE THAN 110 COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKERS FROM 89 VILLAGES IN THE RURAL LORETO REGION OF THE PERUVIAN AMAZON. THE TRAININGS COVERED VARIOUS TOPICS INCLUDING SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED INFECTIONS, CPR, DROWNING, VITAL SIGNS, DIARRHEA MANAGEMENT, PNEUMONIA, ALCOHOL AND ITS EFFECTS ON THE BODY, SNAKE BITES AND BACK PAIN. OUR TEAM ALSO VISITED VILLAGES THAT ARE SERVICED BY THE COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKERS TO PROVIDE PRACTICAL LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES IN THE AREAS OF FOCUS FROM THE TRAININGS.
