THE ADVANCEMENT OF SAILING FOR ALL BY MINIMIZING ECONOMIC AND PHYSICAL OBSTACLES TO SAILING.

TRAINING PROGRAMS - AGES 10 THROUGH 18. THIS PROGRAM WILL PROVIDE SAILING AND SAFE BOATING EDUCATION TO CHILDREN FROM THE ORLEANS PARISH SCHOOL SYSTEMS, PARTICULARLY FROM A PRIMARY TARGET AUDIENCE, WHICH IS TITLE 1 SCHOOLS, WHERE A MINIMUM OF 85 PERCENT OF THE STUDENTS ARE IN FAMILIES THAT LIVE BELOW THE POVERTY LINE. THIS PROGRAM ALSO WILL REACH OUT TO FURNISH SAILING AND SAFE BOATING EDUCATION TO CHILDREN ENGAGED IN RECREATIONAL DEPARTMENT,PARTICULARLY WITH REGARD TO SUMMER PROGRAMS. THIS PROGRAM WILL PROVIDE SAILING AND SAFE BOATING EDUCATION TO CHILDREN WHO SIGN UP FOR SUCH OR WHO COME TO THE PROGRAM BY VIRTUE OF MEMBERSHIP (OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AT LARGE).


ADULT PROGRAMS - PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO PROVIDE SAILING INSTRUCTION AND EDUCATION TO LOCAL ADULTS.


HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGIATE PROGRAMS PROVIDE A HOME BASE FOR LOCAL COLLEGE AND HIGH SCHOOL SAILING PROGRAMS FOR PRACTICE, EDUCATION AND COMPETITION.
