SWIM TEAM - TO PROVIDE TEACHING AND COACHING INSTRUCTION FOR ALL AGES AND ABILITIES. OUR GOAL AS A SWIM CLUB IS TO DEVELOP THE MINDS AND BODIES FOR FUTURE ATHLETIC TRAINING AND TO ALWAYS STRIVE FOR EXCELLENCE. OUR COACHES ARE MEMBERS OF THE AMERICAN SWIMMING COACHES ASSOCIATION (ASCA) AND ARE EXPERTS IN PROPER BREATHING AND STROKE MECHANICS. DURING THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR, A MONTHLY AVERAGE OF 373 SWIMMERS WERE ENROLLED IN THIS PROGRAM. DUE TO THE RESTRICTIONS FROM THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, THERE WERE FEWER MEETS THAN USUAL. WHEN MEETS RESUMED, PARTICIPATION WAS LOWER THAN USUAL, BUT THE NUMBER OF SWIMMERS INVOLVED SHOWED A GRADUAL INCREASE DURING THE FISCAL YEAR. A COVID FEE WAS CHARGED TO COVER ANY ADDITIONAL COSTS CAUSED BY THE INCREASED REQUIREMENTS.

OUR SWIM AMERICA PROGRAM PROVIDES THE OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL AGES AND ABILITIES TO LEARN TO SWIM WITH PROPER TEACHING AND COACHING INSTRUCTION. WATER SAFETY IS AN IMPORTANT COMPONENT OF THE PROGRAM AND REGULAR EVENTS ARE HELD TO EDUCATE THE WHOLE FAMILY ABOUT WATER SAFETY. LEARN TO SWIM GROUP LESSONS WERE CANCELLED FOR MOST OF THE FISCAL YEAR, DUE TO RESTRICTIONS IMPOSED AS A RESULT OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC; THESE WERE RESUMED IN JUNE 2021. PRIVATE AND SEMI-PRIVATE LESSONS WERE RESUMED EARLIER BUT ON A VERY LIMITED BASIS.
