SWIM TEAM - THIS PROGRAM OF THE KATY AQUATICS TEAM FOR YOUTH (KATY) PROVIDES TEACHING AND COACHING INSTRUCTION FOR ALL AGES AND ABILITIES. KATY'S GOAL AS A SWIM CLUB IS TO DEVELOP THE MINDS AND BODIES FOR FUTURE ATHLETIC TRAINING AND TO ALWAYS STRIVE FOR EXCELLENCE. KATY'S COACHES ARE MEMBERS OF THE AMERICAN SWIMMING COACHES ASSOCIATION (ASCA) AND ARE EXPERTS IN PROPER BREATHING AND STROKE MECHANICS. DURING THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR, A MONTHLY AVERAGE OF 588 SWIMMERS WERE ENROLLED IN THIS PROGRAM.
LEARN TO SWIM - THIS PROGRAM AIMS TO TEACH ITS STUDENTS TO SWIM WITHOUT THE STRESS OF COMPETITION. OUR SWIM AMERICA PROGRAM PROVIDES THE OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL AGES AND ABILITIES TO LEARN TO SWIM WITH PROPER TEACHING AND COACHING INSTRUCTION. WATER SAFETY IS AN IMPORTANT COMPONENT OF THE PROGRAM AND REGULAR EVENTS ARE HELD TO EDUCATE THE WHOLE FAMILY ABOUT WATER SAFETY.
