WE SUPPORT ETHIOPIAN-BASED ORGANIZATIONS WORKING TO EDUCATE AND EMPOWER CHILDREN, WOMEN, AND COMMUNITIES IMPACTED BY POVERTY.

WE SUPPORT THE H.O.P.E. SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM OF THE LOCAL NGO WE SUPPORT. WE RECRUIT SPONSORS, MANAGE THEIR DONATIONS, AND GRANT THE DONATION TO THE NGO. IN 2022 OVER 250 CHILDREN WERE SPONSORED. THE SPONSORSHIP FUNDING WE GRANT RAN THREE PROJECT SITES THAT OFFER THE CHILDREN A 6 DAY A WEEK DROP-IN PROGRAM. CHILDREN RECEIVE A DAILY MEAL, HYGIENE SUPPLIES MONTHLY, AND EDUCATIONAL SUPPLIES FOR SCHOOL THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL YEAR, A SCHOOL UNIFORM, SUPPLEMENTAL CLOTHING/SHOES, AND MEDICAL CARE AS NEEDED. THE FUNDING PAYS FOR ALL THE SERVICES TO THE CHILDREN, IT PAYS THE FACILITY RENT FOR THE DROP-IN CENTER, AND COVERS THE SALARIES/EXPENSES OF RUNNING THE PROGRAM AND HAVING STAFF.

WE SUPPORT A LOCAL NGO IN ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPIA CALLED I CARE ETHIOPIA. WE SENT FUNDING TO THEM FOR THEIR ADMINISTRATIVE USE, AND EDUCATION, AND FOOD SUPPORT. WE ALSO PROVIDED THEM WITH A GRANT FOR THEIR WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM THAT WAS USED FOR INCOME GENERATING ACTIVITIES FOR WOMEN GIVING THEM TRAINING AND SUPPORT TO FIND A JOB OR START A SMALL BUSINESS. WE ALSO PROVIDED FUNDING FOR THEM TO OPEN A FREE DAYCARE CENTER FOR THE WOMEN TO USE FOR THEIR CHILDREN.
WE SUPPORT ANOTHER ORGANIZATION CALLED STREETS OF HOPE WHICH IS A 501(C)(3) NON-PROFIT HERE IN THE U.S. THAT IS ALSO WORKING IN ETHIOPIA. THE GRANTS WE PROVIDED TO THEM WERE USED FOR THEIR FAMILY OUTREACH PROGRAM IN ETHIOPIA. THEY ARE HELPING 140 POOR AND VULNERABLE FAMILIES. WE ALSO FUNDED A MICROFINANCE LOAN PROGRAM.
