EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATORS, WHICH HELPS STUDENTS DEVELOP ACADEMICALLY THROUGH PROJECT-BASED STORY TELLING. THEY LEARN TO COLLABORATE WITH PEERS AND BECOME BETTER RESEARCHERS AND WRITERS; THIS YEAR THE PROGRAM GREW FROM 20 TEACHERS TO 60 TEACHER SERVING MORE THAN 5000 STUDENT IN FOUR WESTERN STATES.

STUDENT VOICE, WHERE UNIVERSITY OF OREGON STUDENTS CREATE INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS, PODCASTS, NEWSLETTERS FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF STORYTELLERS.


BLACK STUDENT MAGAZINE, JLIS AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM, WHICH HELPS STUDENTS IMPROVE THEIR WRITING, SELF-CONFIDENCE, AND TO CELEBRATE CULTURAL PRIDE; THIS PERIODICAL IS NOW REACHING STUDENTS IN 93 CITIES ACROSS THE US THROUGH A PARTNERSHIP WITH THE NATIONAL URBAN LEAGUE.
