BATTLE GROUND HEALTHCARE BRINGS HEALTH, HOPE, AND HEALING TO THE COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING ACCESS TO FREE MEDICAL, DENTAL, REHABILITATION SERVICES ALONG WITH REFERRALS FOR VISION AND BEHAVIOR HEALTH FOR ADULTS AGES 18 AND ABOVE BY TREATING MIND, BODY, AND SPIRIT, ONE PERSON AT A TIME.

BATTLE GROUND HEALTHCARE PROVIDES ACCESS TO FREE MEDICAL AND DENTAL SERVICES BY A LARGE VOLUNTEER BASE AND A STAFF OF 8 PAID INDIVIDUALS. IN 2021 THERE WERE 128 ACTIVE VOLUNTEERS WHO DONATED 7,108 HOURS FOR A VALUE OF $387,446. BGHC HAS NO FEDERAL FUNDING SUPPORT FOR OPERATIONS. THE ORGANIZATION SEEKS FUNDING THROUGH INDIVIDUAL DONATIONS, FUNDRAISERS, GRANTS, AND HEALTH SYSTEM COLLABORATIVE PARTNERSHIPS TO PROVIDE COMPREHENSIVE, INTEGRATED QUALITY CARE. OUR VOLUNTEER BASE OF PROVIDERS, NURSES, AS WELL AS OTHER PROFESSIONALS AND INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE THE GIFT OF CARING AND COMPASSION TO SERVE OTHERS AND GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY HELP TO MAKE OUR SERVICES POSSIBLE.THE BIGGEST CHANGE FOR BGHC IN 2021 WAS THE PURCHASE OF A MEDICAL CLINIC BUILDING THAT WE RENOVATED TO ACCOMMODATE ALL OUR SERVICES. THIS NEW LOCATION ALLOWS US INCREASED VISIBILITY AND ACCESS FOR PATIENTS SEEKING CARE. ADDITIONALLY, OUR NEW LOCATION HAS BROUGHT IN MORE VOLUNTEERS TO THE ORGANIZATION. OUR NEW BUILDING HAS 7,616 SQUARE FEET COMPARED TO 4,800. RENOVATIONS INCLUDED ADDING AN EXPANDED DENTAL CLINIC GOING FROM 3 BAYS TO 4 BAYS. DENTAL SERVICES HAVE BEEN GROWING RAPIDLY AS WE ARE THE LARGEST FREE DENTAL CLINIC IN CLARK COUNTY.IN AUGUST OF 2021 BGHC HIRED A HALF TIME ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER WHICH ALLOWED US TO INCREASE OUR MODEL OF CARE MODEL IN MEDICAL. OUR MODEL NOW INCLUDES ILLNESS, WELLNESS, PREVENTION, AND THE MANAGEMENT OF CHRONIC CONDITIONS. BGHC DOES NOT PRESCRIBE OR MANAGE ANY NARCOTIC MEDICATIONS. OUR PHYSICAL REHABILITATION SERVICES INCLUDES THE DISCIPLINES OF OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY, PHYSICAL THERAPY, MEDICAL MASSAGE, AND CHIROPRACTIC CARE.DURING THE PANDEMIC WE IMPLEMENTED TELEHEALTH SERVICES FOR MEDICAL SERVICES AND TRANSITIONED ALL OUR CLASSES TO A VIRTUAL PLATFORM. TELEHEALTH WILL CONTINUE TO BE A SERVICE OPTION FOR PATIENTS WHEN APPROPRIATE.
