LUSTIGDANCETHEATRE (LDT) WAS ESTABLISHED IN 2010 BY INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNIZED CHOREOGRAPHER AND TEACHER, GRAHAM LUSTIG. LDT'S MISSION IS TO BE A VIBRANT, DYNAMIC ORGANIZATION THAT AWAKENS THE LOVE OF DANCE THROUGH PROFESSIONAL COMPANY PERFORMANCES, EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS, AND DANCE AND WELLNESS CLASSES. HOUSED IN THE CULTURALLY VIBRANT CITY OF NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ, LDT SEEKS TO BE A VITAL FIXTURE IN THE NEW JERSEY ARTS COMMUNITY AND PROVIDE EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. DANCE THE LUSTIGDANCETHEATRE PROFESSIONAL COMPANY OFFERS PERFORMANCES OF HIGH ARTISTIC QUALITY IMBUED WITH VIRTUOSITY, ENERGY, DYNAMICS, AND HUMANITY. A CONTEMPORARY DANCE COMPANY, LDT SUPPORTS A CREATIVE ENVIRONMENT FOR ARTISTS AND CHOREOGRAPHERS THAT FURTHERS THE EVOLUTION OF DANCE IN INNOVATIVE WAYS BY CELEBRATING NEW WORKS AND PRESERVING MODERN MASTERPIECES. COLLABORATIONS WITH OTHER NEW JERSEY ARTISTS AND ORGANIZATIONS IS A PRIORITY, AS WELL AS THE CONSISTENT USE OF LIVE MUSIC FOR PERFORMANCES. LDT PERFORMS AT MAJOR VENUES STATEWIDE. THOUGH THE COMPANY'S ACTIVITIES PREDOMINANTLY REMAIN IN NEW JERSEY, LDT WILL SEEK TO TOUR REGIONALLY AND NATIONALLY AS A MEANS TO GAIN EXPOSURE AND PROMINENCE IN THE DANCE COMMUNITY. THE COMPANY CONSISTS OF AN ETHNICALLY DIVERSE GROUP OF TEN DANCERS (FIVE MEN AND FIVE WOMEN). THE DANCERS HAIL FROM AN IMPRESSIVE ROSTER OF MAJOR UNIVERSITIES, DANCE COMPANIES, AND TRAINING PROGRAMS.

WELLNESS LDT'S DANCE AND WELLNESS STUDIO EMPOWERS THE COMMUNITY WITH OPPORTUNITIES TO EXPERIENCE THE LOVE AND JOY OF MOVEMENT. STUDENTS, REGARDLESS OF AGE, RACE, RELIGION, LEVEL, OR ASPIRATION, ARE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO DISCOVER THEIR PASSION FOR DANCE AND WELLNESS IN A SUPPORTIVE AND PROFESSIONAL ENVIRONMENT. THE LDT DANCE AND WELLNESS STUDIO EXISTS IN A FRESHLY RENOVATED SPACE THAT HAS TWO BEAUTIFULLY LIT DANCE STUDIOS WITH SPRUNG FLOORS, CHANGING AND LOUNGE AREAS FOR THE PROFESSIONAL DANCERS AND STUDENTS, AND A WI-FI ENABLED WAITING ROOM FOR STUDENTS AND PARENTS. THE STUDIO WAS CREATED WITH TWO OBJECTIVES: "PROMOTE WELLNESS IN THE COMMUNITY BY OFFERING MOVEMENT CLASSES THAT FOCUS ON FITNESS, STRENGTH, BALANCE, AND FLEXIBILITY FOR ALL AGES; "ESTABLISH A DANCE CENTER TO HELP EDUCATE ASPIRING AND PROFESSIONAL DANCERS OF ALL AGES BY PROVIDING DANCE TRAINING AND PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES TO NURTURE THE HUMAN SPIRIT AND FOSTER INDIVIDUAL CREATIVE EXPRESSION. CLASS OFFERINGS INCLUDE ALL LEVELS OF BALLET, HIP HOP, PILATES, BODY MIND CONDITIONING, ZUMBA, CREATIVE DANCE, TAP, A BALLET CLASS JUST FOR BOYS, AND MORE CLASSES ARE TAUGHT BY PROFESSIONAL DANCERS, CERTIFIED DANCE EDUCATORS, AND NEW JERSEY ARTISTS. NEED AND MERIT BASED SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE TO ENSURE THAT PROGRAMS ARE ACCESSIBLE TO ANY STUDENT. SIMILARLY, PAYMENT PLANS ARE OFFERED AND DISCOUNTS ARE GIVEN TO FAMILIES WITH MORE THAN ONE ENROLLED STUDENT. LDT HAS A SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT WITH THE NEW BRUNSWICK SCHOOL SYSTEM (A LOW-INCOME COMMUNITY AND ABBOTT SCHOOL DISTRICT) THAT ALLOWS SELECT THIRD GRADERS IN EACH OF THE EIGHT ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS TO ATTEND LDT AT A 50% TUITION REDUCTION.
