NICAT IS AN ORGANIZATION WHICH SUPPORTS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND COEXISTENCE IN ISRAEL, INCLUDING A SCHOOL BY THE NAME OF THE AKKO CENTER FOR ARTS AND TECHNOLOGY, AN ISRAELI NONPROFIT LOCATED IN AKKO, ISRAEL. NICAT'S MISSION IS TO START UP AND ASSIST THE ISRAELI SCHOOL IT HELPED TO FOUND. NICAT HAS RAISED SUFFICIENT FUNDS TO PROVIDE GRANTS TO THE AKKO CENTER FOR ARTS AND TECHNOLOGY FOR THE PROGRAMMATIC AND ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT OF THE ISRAELI SCHOOL WHICH IS BASED UPON A U.S. MODEL LOCATED IN PITTSBURGH PENNSYLVANIA. NICAT HAS PROVIDED SUPPORT IN DEVELOPING PROGRAMMING, IDENTIFYING PROFESSIONALS, HIRING EXECUTIVE STAFF, SELECTING AND NEGOTIATING RENT FOR A PHYSICAL FACILITY FOR THE SCHOOL, AND SELECTING BOARD MEMBERS AND MEMBERS OF THE AKKO CENTER FOR ARTS AND TECHNOLOGY.
