JOSHUA'S PLACE EXIST TO HELP INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES BREAK THE NEGATIVE CYCLE OF GENERATIONAL POVERTY, KEY ACTIVITIES ARE A FOOD CO-OP, DEVELOPMENTAL COURSES AND AFTER SCHOOL TUTORING.

FOOD CO-OP - PARTICIPANTS ATTEND EVERY TWO WEEKS AND RECEIVE FOOD AND HOUSEHOLD SUPPLIES AS WELL AS DEVELOPMENTAL OPPORTUNITIES SUCH AS PARENT AND FINANCIAL LITERACY CLASSES.
WHIZ KIDS PROGRAM - WHIZ KIDS IS A ONE-TO-ONE READING LITERACY TUTORING PROGRAM. EACH WEEK OF THE SCHOOL YEAR AN ELEMENTARY AGE CHILD MEETS WITH THE SAME ADULT TUTOR FOR AN HOUR.
CELEBRATE RECOVERY - ADDICTIONS COME IN MANY FORMS, BUT ULTIMATELY THEY LEAD THE ADDICTED TO A PLACE OF DESPAIR, LONELINESS AND DESTRUCTION. TO THIS END, WE HOST WEEKLY STEP-BY-STEP CHRIST CENTERED ADDICTION RECOVERY MEETINGS CALLED CELEBRATE RECOVERY. THESE MEETINGS ARE AIMED AT HELPING INDIVIDUALS BREAK FREE FROM THEIR CURRENT ADDICTION OR MOVING THEM FURTHER DOWN THE ROAD IN THEIR RECOVERY.
OTHER PROGRAMS CONSIST OF POWER PACK PROGRAM, PROVIDING WEEKLY FOOD FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN IN NEED. SUMMER CAMP, AN ENVIRONMENT TO FEED AND ENGAGE WITH CHILDREN THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER.
