EARN A BIKE PROGRAM- PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE: WE GIVE BIKES AWAY TO 4TH GRADE STUDENTS WHO EARN POINTS IN THE AREAS OF ACADEMICS, BEHAVIOR, AND HEALTH AND FITNESS. CLIENTS SERVED: 646 4TH GRADERS (AUG 2019-JUNE 2020), ACROSS 7 SCHOOL PARTNERSHIPS. 416 BIKES WERE EARNED. ACTIVITY'S OBJECTIVE: SHORT TERM: IMPROVE KIDS SUCCESS IN THE AREAS OF ACADEMICS, CHARACTER, AND SERVICE , AND HEALTH AND FITNESS WHILE ALLOWING THEM TO EARN A BIKE. LONG TERM: DEVELOP KIDS IN THE AREAS OF ACADEMICS, CHARACTER, AND SERVICE, FOR SUCCESS IN LIFE WHILE INTRODUCING THEM TO A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE.
NO PROGRAM 2 DUE TO COVID AND OTHER RELATED ISSUES THIS YEAR. ALTHOUGH STUDENTS DID NOT PARTICIPATE THIS YEAR, OUR EXPENSES REMAINED DUE TO PAYING FOR OUR TRACKING SERVICES.
BIKE REPAIR PROGRAM - PRIMARY TAX EXEMPT PURPOSE: REPAIR BIKES AT NO COST TO INDIVIDUALS IN NEED THUS CREATING OPPORTUNITY FOR THESE INDIVIDUALS, BOTH ADULTS AND CHILDREN, TO STAY ACTIVE ON THEIR BIKES. IN 2019-20 OFF THE FRONT REPAIRED 210 BIKES OVER THE COURSE OF 6 BIKE REPAIR EVENTS. WE WERE UNABLE TO HOST EVENTS IN THE SPRING OF 2020 DUE TO COVID.
