THE HESBURGH-YUSKO SCHOLARS PROGRAM IS THE FIRST MERIT-BASED AND ENRICHMENT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NOTRE DAME, BUT THE BENEFITS FOR SCHOLARS FAR EXCEED THE MONETARY AWARD. THE PROGRAM IS ALSO A LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM THAT ENGAGES STUDENTS THROUGHOUT THE ACADEMIC YEAR AND SUMMER.SCHOLARSHIP AWARD:EACH HESBURGH-YUSKO SCHOLAR RECEIVES FOUR YEARS OF MERIT SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS OF $25,000 PER YEAR ($100,000 OVER FOUR YEARS) TOWARD THE COST OF ATTENDING NOTRE DAME. SCHOLARS ENROLLED IN FIVE-YEAR UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS, SUCH AS IN SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE, MAY RECEIVE SPECIAL CONSIDERATION FOR CONTINUED FUNDING THROUGH THEIR FIFTH YEAR.SUMMER ENRICHMENT EXPERIENCES:SCHOLARS PARTICIPATE IN FOUR FULLY FUNDED SUMMER ENRICHMENT EXPERIENCES, BEGINNING THE SUMMER PRIOR TO THEIR FIRST YEAR.
