ELKHART COUNTY CLUBHOUSE IS AN ORGANIZATION WHERE PEOPLE WITH PERSISTENT MENTAL ILLNESS CAN COME TO REBUILD THEIR LIVES. THE ORGANIZATION OFFERS SUPPORT FOR EDUCATION, OR FOR RETURNING TO THE WORKFORCE THROUGH A VARIETY OF ENTRY-LEVEL POSITIONS.

THE ORGANIZATION'S PROGRAMMING IS CENTERED ON THE PROVISION OF MEANINGFUL WORK WITHIN A SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR ITS MEMBERS TO CONNECT WITH EACH OTHER. WITHIN THIS ENVIRONMENT, OPPORTUNITIES EXIST FOR MEMBERS TO RE-ENTER THE WORK FORCE WITHIN THE COMMUNITY AND/OR TO VOLUNTEER THEIR TIME ASSISTING WITH THE DAY-TO-DAY FUNCTIONS WITHIN THE CLUBHOUSE. AT DAILY MEETINGS, THE LUNCH PROGRAM MENUS ARE DECIDED, WEEKEND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES ARE SCHEDULED, AND COMMUNITY-BASED WORK SCHEDULES ARE DETERMINED. CLUBHOUSE MEMBERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO LEAD AND MAKE DECISIONS, THEY WORK ALONG-SIDE STAFF AND ARE EMPOWERED TO MAKE AN IMPACT IN THEIR COMMUNITIES.
